'You Are a Star' - The catchphrase is rather simple but very catchy and that prompted me to read this book. I am not quite a fan of books of this genre. But I am going through a change in course of my life at this moment and wanted some inspiration. So why not? and I ended up reading the book.
The book has ten chapters that detail the strategies that is to be followed to be a winner or achiever. I was a bit hesitant initially due to this new genre but the writing style made me comfortable to easily read the book. The book can be a quick read and I was able to finish this in four hours. The language is so simple but effective enough to instill some values into us. There are no hard jargon being used. The writing is fluid and does not waver away. Ample bulleted points were useful enough as a refresher for each chapter. Even though we would have heard about all the strategies mentioned, this read helps us to cement the thoughts. Concepts like hard work, persistence, overwork, and overthinking are put forward very well. There could have been some more examples to strengthen the strategies. But it does not mean there are none. There is ample explanation but I feel there can be little more.
This was a good and useful read for me and as I told earlier, myself; at an important juncture in my life found this useful. I could take down points from this book that could be really important to me. This can be recommended for people who wanted to take a positive path in your life and attain their specific goals.
